Camp takes place one block north of the beachside town square, immediately adjacent to the main Puerto Morelos beach:

• Dance sessions take place on the ocean side of Hotel Las Arenas Puerto Morelos. We dance on the sandy ground under a retractable shade sail with a view of the ocean in the mornings and under the stars at night.
• Classes and late-night music jams take place in various spots on the hotel property, including the reception palapa, dance circle, old food truck court (big) palapa, and other spots out of the sun and wind as needed.

Note: Starting in 2027, Alaska House (a private rental across the side street next to the hotel) continues to house staff, but is no longer available for camp use.

Hotel Las Arenas Puerto Morelos is an affordable 2-star hotel on the beach consisting of 30 rooms in 10 separate buildings. It’s clean, definitely not “the Ritz”, and has its quirks! “It’s Mexico!”

• Best price on the beach by far, especially with our 10-night group block rate!
• Most rooms have microwaves, mini fridges, beach towels, and hot water most of the time.
• Make friends with the geckos, keep food sealed to avoid attracting ants, and a little bit of tape on torn screens keeps the mosquitos out… You get the idea…
• We set up a simple community kitchen in one of the rooms.
